Industry Advisory Council
The Industry Advisory Council (IAC) is a gathering of in-sector industry experts that meet with Polytechnics Mauritius Board, Executive Management and Academic
Programme Leaders to advise on high-level industry trends, needs and opportunities in Mauritius and beyond.
More specifically, the Industry Advisory Council assists with the following:
Guide PML Executive Management and Programme Leaders through shared networks to open doors and connect with industry stakeholders to gain more insight on specific labour market needs (short, medium and long term) and generate more depth about scale and scope of necessities.
Draw conjectures and patterns of future needs of industry and resultant talent sourcing and manpower planning to maintain the innovative edge and practical bias of Polytechnics Mauritius
Facilitate practical immersion programmes for Polytechnics Mauritius students and staff through traineeships, internships, Industry Visits, “Shadow” assignments, CO-OP, CareerSpeak and many more…
Assist with data generation, analysis and formulate recommendations (quantitative and qualitative) on further disciplines and sub-disciplines to explore for course offering;
Connect Polytechnics Mauritius with regional and international partners that may assist with large-scale educational partnerships, multilateral projects, student-scholar mobility, country-to-country industry collaborations and international grants and seed funding
