Polytechnics Mauritius is recruiting a Part-Time Lecturer in Operations Management to deliver engaging, practical and level-appropriate training to its students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Operations Management modules using practical and business oriented approaches
  • Design course content, learning materials and assessments
  • Use case studies and real world business situations to support learning
  • Guide students in analysing operational processes and business challenges
  • Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Use digital teaching tools and LMS platforms

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Undergraduate degree in Operations Management, Business Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field, together with at least 7 years of relevant professional experience; OR a Master’s degree in a relevant field together with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience: Relevant professional experience in operations, supply chain, business management or related fields; tertiary teaching experience is an advantage

  • Sound knowledge of operations management principles and practices
  • Ability to apply operational concepts to real business situations
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to use case studies and experiential learning methods
  • Comfortable using digital teaching tools and platforms
  • Portfolio: Applicants should provide evidence of relevant professional projects, operational improvement initiatives or consultancy work where applicable

Portfolio: All applicants must submit a professional portfolio demonstrating relevant practical work, projects and industry experience in the specialist area for which they are applying (specially for design and marketing relevance part). The portfolio should clearly demonstrate the applicant’s level of technical competence, creativity and professional practice.
