Mr. Yamal Matabudul

Chief Executive Officer

Yamal is the Founding Chief Executive Officer of Polytechnics Mauritius Ltd, a skills-based tertiary institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Research. He cumulates more than 20 years of work experience in the higher education and training sector. Yamal has been part of senior management at various private educational institutions including Training Manager at Mauritius Employers’ Federation (now Business Mauritius), Managing Director of CNAM Mauritius, Executive Director at International Business School and General Manager of Education at Medine Education Village. Yamal has also acted as Project Manager for the Ministry of Education on higher education and Polytechnics and Consultant for The World Bank, African Development Bank, Save the Children, Association for the Development of Education in Africa, among others.
Yamal holds a Master’s in Higher Education from the University of Oxford as a Chevening Scholar, a Master’s in Public Policy from SOAS as an Africa Scholar, a Graduate Diploma in International Business (Summa Cum Laude, Dean’s Honour Roll) and a BSc in Physics and Finance from McGill University.

Roshan Kumar Seebaluck is a global entrepreneurship expert with over 25 years of transformative experience in business incubation and strategic development. Holding a Master’s in Economics from Delhi School of Economics, he has crafted innovative start-up ecosystems across continents—from the Caribbean to Central Asia.
His remarkable journey includes pioneering Mauritius’s first ICT Business Incubation Programme, cultivating 17 start-ups, leading complex initiatives for the World Bank and IBM and successfully supporting start-up development in challenging environments like Afghanistan and Namibia. With 22 start-ups graduated in Kabul and significant impact across multiple countries, Mr. Seebaluck has consistently turned entrepreneurial potential into tangible success.
Currently managing the Centre for Innovation, Professional Development and Incubation at Polytechnics Mauritius Ltd, he continues to be a catalyst for transforming innovative ideas into thriving businesses.

Miss. Nishtee Gopee

Programme Leader IT & Emerging Technologies

Armed with a powerful trifecta of degrees (BSc in Computer Science, MSc in Information Systems, and an MBA), Nishtee Gopee isn’t just leading programs – she’s revolutionizing them. Her 15-year journey from passionate programming educator to Software Engineer at Ceridian Mauritius, and later as the strategic mind behind the National Computer Board’s ICT Academy, showcases her versatility.
Today, as Programme Leader at PML, she’s not just teaching tech – she’s actively shaping its future through research in AI, Big Data Analytics and Blockchain.
Nishtee is passionate about academic research, pushing the boundaries of Educational and Emerging Technologies.

Mr. Georges Soodeen

Programme Leader Tourism & Hospitality, Events/Leisure; Sports

Like a masterful symphony conductor, Georges Benedict Soodeen orchestrates the harmony between tourism, hospitality, leisure, and sports education.
Two decades of industry wisdom flow through his veins and his Master’s in Sports Business Management serves as his conductor’s baton.
At the helm of Polytechnics Mauritius’s tourism cluster, he doesn’t just lead programs – he architects experiences, turning academic theory into industry gold with the precision of his first-class degree in International Tourism.

Programme Leader Built Environment, Engineering, Logistics and Transport

More than just a Programme Leader, Karan Emerit is a professional cartographer of knowledge, mapping intricate pathways through Built Environment, Engineering, Logistics, and Transport.
With credentials that span from Heriot Watt’s MBA to elite chartered memberships in Information Systems and Logistics, he’s not just an academic—he’s a global professional who translates complex industrial landscapes into transformative educational experiences.
From Credit Bureau consultancy in Dubai to guiding the BEELT cluster at Pamplemousses Campus, Karan emphasizes on the art of turning professional expertise into educational inspiration.

From surgery rooms to classrooms, Suren Reesaul is revolutionizing nursing education as our Acting Programme Leader.
Don’t let his string of distinctions (MBA, MScHR, MELM, BSc Nursing) fool you – he’s as hands-on as they come. Having conquered everything from oncology to orthopedics, this Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) brings battlefield wisdom from the frontlines of healthcare, including vital work with the National Aids Unit.
