The Bachelor Top Up (Full Time) is a one- year programme that gives an opportunity to international or local candidates who possess a Diploma in Nursing (equivalent to the National Diploma in Nursing) to complete a Bachelor in Nursing (Top Up) – Full time which will be awarded by La Trobe University, Australia. As a full-time programme, working nurses from the rest of the world who only had studied up to a Diploma will be able to obtain a Bachelor degree. Equipped with a BSc Nursing from La Trobe University, you will be internationally mobile and will also be able to onboard further pathways for Masters and PhD or Post Graduate Diplomas. Not least, you can also contemplate a career as a trainer in nursing or research opportunities. This is meant to be a +1programme for Diploma qualified nurses to pursue a Bachelor Top Up or a 3+1 programme for international students – secondary cycle school leavers to complete a Diploma in Nursing in Mauritius and then connect straight onto a Bachelor Top Up.
