Polytechnics Mauritius is recruiting a Part-Time Lecturer in Business Statistics to deliver engaging, practical and level-appropriate training to its students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Business Statistics modules to students in a clear and applied manner
- Design course content, learning materials and assessments
- Apply statistical concepts to business and marketing related situations
- Guide students in data interpretation, statistical analysis and presentation
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics or a related field, together with at least 7 years of relevant professional experience; OR a Master’s degree in a relevant field together with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Experience: Relevant professional experience in statistics, quantitative analysis or business analytics; tertiary teaching experience is an advantage
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics
- Ability to apply statistical methods to business problems
- Knowledge of statistical software and data analysis tools
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Comfortable using digital teaching tools and platforms
- Portfolio: Applicants should provide evidence of relevant analytical, statistical or professional projects where applicable
Portfolio: All applicants must submit a professional portfolio demonstrating relevant practical work, projects and industry experience in the specialist area for which they are applying (specially for design and marketing relevance part). The portfolio should clearly demonstrate the applicant’s level of technical competence, creativity and professional practice.
